I love to read but when it comes to learning I consider myself a visual learner. You Tube channels have always been a great resource when it comes to learning about new art materials, fashion design lessons and fashion illustration tutorials. In this post I would like to introduce you to my favorite You Tube channels so far. I have learned so much from these amazing people and with every video they post, I get inspired and excited even more about improving my fashion illustration and design skills.
1. Zoe Hong
Zoe is the best teacher ever and her channel is a real treasure. Themes of her videos range from fashion illustration demos, rendering tutorials, fashion vocabulary to fashion design process steps and amazing interviews with fashion industry folks. This channel is the best I've discovered so far in my search for genuine lectures and great tutorials. Not only her materials are high quality and interesting, she is also very witty, has great sense of humor and explains everything very clearly and methodically. If you are interested in learning from the best, this is the channel to check out and subscribe:)
2. FSketcher
A channel dedicated to fashion illustration and amazing tutorials about rendering with markers. Here you can learn how to represent any kind of fabric and if you visit her website, you can also download and practice with her beautiful free croquis templates. If you are interested in starting your own fashion label, then you are in luck because there is a new series covering that as well. Definitely a channel worth subscribing:)
3. Fashion Step-by-Step
Lovely channel about fashion illustration and starting your own business. Karen is such a nice person, inspiring and motivating anyone interested in becoming a fashion illustrator. You will also find great tutorials on drawing fashion figures and rendering with watercolors.
Hope you found this list useful and stay tuned for the next round of favorite channels and teachers:) Please share some of your favorites as well in the comments!
